The Miami Heat will be looking for a win on Saturday when they travel to New Jersey to face the Nets.
The New Jersey Nets improved their record to 2-6 on the season Friday with a solid victory over the Toronto Raptors. The Nets are one of the bottom feeders again this season in the NBA with a scoring offense ranked 30th in the league at 83.1 points per game, and a scoring defense ranked 23rd in the NBA allowing just over 97 points per game. The Nets finally got back in the win column on Friday after dropping their previous six games. If New Jersey is going to upset the Heat on Saturday, the Nets will need a big night from their top scorer Deron Williams who is averaging 17.3 points per game this season so far.
The Miami Heat are proving themselves again this season with an outstanding 7-1 record out of the gate. The Heat earned their second win in a row on Thursday after Miami defeated the Hawks 116-109 in triple overtime. Miami has the number one scoring offense in all the land with an average of 109.3 points per game, which is just an incredible number and shows how dangerous this offense is. Miami does have some defensive issues, and that could prove a problem later in the season if Miami starts to lose their legs with a condensed season.
